Biography

Adrian Cameron, DBA, is Director of Lifelong Learning/Continuing Education in the Division of Lifelong Learning and Innovation, where he oversees all LLI programming. Appointed in September 2026, he holds a new leadership position created as LLI expands educational opportunities across the learner's lifespan and strengthens Rutgers' role in professional and workforce development.

In this role, Dr. Cameron is advancing LLI as a hub for lifelong learning while supporting the growth and sustainability of its programs. He works across industry and business partners, community organizations, and campus stakeholders to build the relationships that sustain program growth.

Dr. Cameron brings more than 22 years of experience at Rutgers spanning continuing education, noncredit programming, technology, and workforce development. As Assistant Director of Information Technology at Rutgers Continuing Studies, he provided strategic and operational leadership across the division, with a focus on digital transformation, data analytics, enterprise systems, and organizational efficiency.

In 2026, he co-instructed Tech Leadership for Public Managers: AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Governance through Rutgers' Center for Executive Leadership in Government, and he has taught Data Management and Business Intelligence. He currently teaches Big Data Analytics at the Rutgers School of Business–Camden.

He earned his Doctorate in Business Administration from Rutgers University. His doctoral research analyzed more than 550,000 student interactions to examine how AI chatbot engagement shapes prospective students' enrollment decisions — work that reflects his broader approach to leadership: using data and technology to inform people-centered innovation. Across his career, Dr. Cameron has directed initiatives supporting program growth, financial sustainability, innovative instructional delivery, and stronger learner and organizational outcomes.
